Choir Vacancies

We currently have a vacancy for Soprano 2. Potential new singers are invited to attend two taster rehearsals, followed by a very informal audition which involves some sight reading and a range exercise to ensure you are placed on the right part. Following this, there s a two-term trial period to give you the opportunity to see whether the choir is a good fit for you and vice versa. If you’re a confident sight-singer, enjoy singing one to a part and have a love for sacred and early choral music, please get in touch by emailing: elizabethsingers@proton.me or using the contact form on our contact page.

The Elizabeth Singers is a mixed voice choir of around 16 singers. We rehearse on a Sunday evening at 5.15-6.45pm in St David’s Church, Ely, Cardiff, CF5 5BQ, with breaks in line with school holidays.

Members pay subscriptions on a yearly basis. This contributes to the costs of our Musical Director, rehearsal venue hire, and for the purchase of music. The yearly rate is £65 a term / £195 a year which can be paid in full when your membership of the choir has been confirmed. As we do not wish our membership fee to be a barrier for any prospective singers, discussions can take place around these fees with the choir’s treasurer.
